Another mom indicted!!!!

The mother of Shaniya Davis, a 5-year-old Fayetteville girl killed in November 2009, has been indicted on murder and other charges in her death.
Antoinette Nicole Davis was indicted by a  grand jury on charges of first-degree murder, indecent liberties with a child, felony child abuse, felony sexual servitude, rape of a child, sexual offense of a child by an adult offender, human trafficking and making a false police report.   She is being held on $1.5 million bond.  A friend of the family, Mario McNeill is accused of kidnapping Shaniya after surveillance footage from a Lee County hotel showed him carrying the girl. He is charged with raping and murdering the girl.
Davis reported Shaniya missing from her Cumberland County home on November 10, 2009.  Later that morning, a surveillance camera in a hotel 30 miles away showed a man carrying a girl matching Shaniya's description. A hotel worker notified police, but the man and child left by the time authorities arrived.  As the investigation continued, hundreds of volunteers joined the search for Shaniya, and her father, Bradley Lockhart, made an emotional plea for his daughter's return. On November 13, McNeill turned himself in, and police charge him with first-degree kidnapping. The next day, police revealed that Davis allegedly sold her daughter as a sex slave. She was arrested and charged with human trafficking and felony child abuse involving prostitution.

Her body was found on November 16 in some weeds near the Harnett and Lee County lines.

Her death was listed as a result of asphyxiation.  It also looks as if she was sexually assaulted.
