Pastor and family among victims in Pileup

A split decision between two pastors regarding when to return to the Atlanta area from Florida was the difference between life and death.  They'd just finished a religious conference in Florida on Saturday night and debated when they and their accompanying parishioners would return home.
Senior pastor Arao Amazonas said he wanted to wait until the next morning to leave. But pastor Jose Carmo Jr. wanted to be back in time for the suburban Atlanta church's Sunday morning service and led two vans up Interstate 75 toward Georgia.  A few hours later, Amazonas received an early-morning call: Both vans had crashed in the highway's fog- and smoke-shrouded darkness near Gainesville.

Carmo, his wife and their daughter were among five church members killed in two deadly pileups along the always busy six-lane interstate.  "We couldn't have imagined such tragedy would come to us," said Amazonas, senior pastor at the Igreja Internacional de Restaurcao, or International Church of the Restoration.

In all, a total of 10 people were killed in the crash.  The accident happened after the Florida Highway Patrol had reopened the interstate after an earlier serious accident. A sergeant and lieutenant determined after about three hours that conditions had cleared enough for drivers, but visibility quickly became murky again, officials said.  Monday. Florida Gov. Rick Scott has ordered an investigation into that decision. "We went through the area. We made an assessment. We came to the conclusion that the road was safe to travel and that is when we opened the road up," Highway patrol spokesman Lt. Patrick Riordan said in a news conference. "Drivers have to recognize that the environment changes. They have to be prepared to make good judgments."
At least a dozen cars, six tractor-trailers and a motor home collided about 3:45 a.m. Sunday. Some cars were crushed under the bellies of big rigs. Others burst into flames and sent metal shrapnel flying through the air, horrifying witnesses watching the violence along Interstate 75 in calls to 911. Eighteen survivors were hospitalized.

In a 911 recording released Monday, a driver and her passengers told a dispatcher the fog and smoke from the 62-acre brush fire was so thick they couldn't see.

"I think there was another accident behind us because I heard it,"
a woman said. "Oh my gosh, it's so dark here."

In the same 911 call, another woman took the phone and screamed an expletive as she hears another crash.

"That was a truck. We cannot see. It's like impossible to see," the caller said. "The smoke is very thick you can see obviously only your hand in front. I do hear an ambulance or police officer coming down the road."

Late Monday, the highway patrol said seven people died and at least 16 people were injured after 10 vehicles crashed in the northbound lanes of the highway, the first of two multiple-vehicle pileups along I-75.

Jason Lee Raikes, 26, of Richmond, Va., died in the crash, authorities said. They also said five out of six people riding in a 2012 Dodge Caravan died in the crash: Driver Edson Carmo, 38; Roselia DeSilva, 41; Jose Carmo Jr., 43; Adrianna Carmo, 39; and Leticia Carmo, 17; all of Kennesaw, Ga.

The highway patrol did not immediately provide the identity of the seventh crash fatality.

Jose and Adriana Carmo were married and Leticia was their daughter.

The van's sixth occupant, the couple's younger daughter, Lidiane, 15, survived the crash, Amazonas said. A hospital spokeswoman said Monday afternoon she was listed in critical condition.

The Carmos were in one van and other church members were in a second van. The passengers of that van called Amazonas after the accident to tell him what happened, he said.

About 100 people gathered Monday evening at the suburban Atlanta church, which caters to the local Brazilian community, to mourn the deaths of their fellow church members. People at the gathering wailed and wept as Amazonas addressed them in Portuguese.

Riordan declined to release the names of the two troopers who made the decision to reopen the highway or provide details on how long they had been with the patrol. He said no troopers have been disciplined but the investigation into the crash continues. National Transportation Safety Board officials said Monday they are sending investigators to the scene.

The Florida Forest Service said Monday it still had not determined if the brush fire was intentionally set or accidental, although lightning has been ruled out. Spokeswoman Ludie Bond said the fire is contained but was still burning. Firefighters are spraying water around its perimeter attempting to reduce the smoke.

Criminal defense attorneys said that if the fire was caused by arson, authorities likely will file charges of manslaughter and possibly felony murder, which is defined as a death that happens as result of participating in a felony.

"You can bet they will be,"
said Brian Tannebaum, a former president of the Florida Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers.

Long hair gets teen suspended

A Michigan high school cancer survivor has been kicked out of his school for letting his hair grow too long.
J.T. Gaskins was diagnosed with leukemia as a baby. Now he’s growing out his locks to help out other cancer patients.
The 17-year-old cancer survivor is trying to grow out his hair to donate it to Locks of Love. Gaskins received a three-day suspension.
"They're telling me that I can't grow my hair out to give back to a cause that I fought my whole life,” said Gaskins.
"The female students sitting next to my son can grow it and donate it, but yet the male student or my son can't do the same without getting kicked out,” said Gaskins’ mother Christa Plante.
The school board recently voted against making an exception to the rule. The board said it is reconsidering their decision and hopes to reach a compromise.
It's expected to call an emergency board meeting within this week to discuss the issue.

Cops are looking for more body parts and are trying to identify the victim using dental records.  The head was nice and ripe and was not decomposed.
The head is thought to belong to an Armenian man in his 40s.

Casey's obsessed with Caylee

“Casey Anthony’s twisted life in hiding,” The National Enquirer screams.
Casey had made the tabloid’s cover again. The story details her “bizarre, twisted life in hiding” through interviews with friends.
These are her friends?
They tell of Casey’s X-rated online chats, her stir-crazy life in a preacher’s home, her imaginary romance with a man named Steven, her hopes to have twins and her recent false alarm about being pregnant.
But the most interesting portions focus on Casey’s fixation on dead daughter Caylee.
She keeps a candlelit shrine to her daughter and a picture of Caylee in the arms of Jesus, The Enquirer reports.

Anthony is getting professional help but hasn’t admitted any role in her daughter’s death, The Enquirer reports.
The tabloid quotes an Anthony friend: “Casey is the most self-centered, egotistical creature I have ever known. Everything she says is all about her – about how sad and lonely she is.”
These are her friends?

28 years for Joran Van der Sloot

Joran van der Sloot, the 24-year-old Dutchman who remains the prime suspect in the still-unsolved 2005 disappearance of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway in Aruba, was just sentenced to 28 years in prison for the 2010 murder of a woman in Peru.
Van der Sloot pleaded guilty Wednesday to killing 21-year-old Stephany Flores five years to the day after Holloway's disappearance. Prosecutors had asked for a 30-year sentence. Van der Sloot's attorneys, arguing that at the time of Flores' murder the young man was emotionally distraught because of the suspicion he was under in the Holloway case, had asked for a lighter sentence.

Van der Sloot has twice been arrested by Aruban authorities in connection with Holloway's disappearance, but has never been charged.

Thursday, a judge in Alabama signed an order that declares Holloway is dead.

Perry unseals some documents!

Chief Judge Belvin Perry unsealed the state's depositions, involving the story Casey Anthony gave to two doctors for the defense about how her daughter Caylee Marie Anthony died.
The documents shed more light on Casey's claim that her father, George Anthony, killed Caylee.
The deposition transcripts provide more details than what has already been revealed.
According to the documents, Casey told two doctors that Caylee could not have died accidentally, even though the defense told the jury the exact opposite
Also, retired prosecutor Jeff Ashton's book about her case reveals that Casey told two psychiatrists Caylee could not have gotten into the pool on her own, and that the ladder was always stowed.
The book also states that Casey said George killed Caylee in the pool, and she also said that George could have been molesting Caylee in the pool while he was killing her.
The story that Casey is documented to have told was rejected by her defense team during the trial, and was never shared with the jury.
The report also states that the two doctors had examined Casey for the defense, and found no evidence of mental illness or post traumatic stress disorder, despite Casey's claims that her father had molested and raped her.
Casey also told the doctors that she was afraid George would also molest Caylee.

She's too hot for the yearbook!

An 18-year-old Durango High School student and aspiring model, submitted her senior portrait, and was shocked when the photo was rejected.
In the photo, Sydney Spies is wearing a sheer yellow skirt and a black scarf that exposes her shoulders and midriff.
“This photo represents who I am. I want to be a model. I’m a dancer, and I feel like administration isn’t allowing me to show that."
A second photo Spies submitted for the yearbook, in a sheer black dress, also was denied by student editors, who worried the racy photos were unprofessional.
During a sit-down interview with “Today Show” anchor Matt Lauer, Spies, seated with her mother, Miki Spies, accused the editors of changing their position under pressure from the administration.

Administrators and the yearbook adviser have denied influencing the students’ decision.

Spies told Lauer she is still holding out hope the yearbook staff will reverse its decision and let her use the picture, which she called “artistic.”
Miki Spies told Lauer she initially had reservations about submitting the photo.
“I asked her not to do it,” she said. “I said, ‘Sydney, really, is this the one you want?’”
But she said she came to accept the decision.
“When your child is spreading her wings, you just want to come alongside and support them. That’s what I’m doing as a mother,” she told Lauer.
Sydney Spies said she has been told the photo can still appear, but as a paid “senior advertisement,” which appear at the end of the yearbook.

A poll on the “Today Show” website asked viewers if they thought the photo was “too inappropriate” to go in the a yearbook. Seventy-seven percent, or 134,318 votes, indicted “yes” as of Monday evening.

Benjamin Martinez, associate photographer and general manager of Thru the Lens Fine Portraits, photographed Spies’ now-famous photo and said the shoot included both traditional senior portraits and modeling portfolio pictures.
“We took some regular photos during the shoot that she could have chosen for the yearbook just as well as any of the images (that) they purchased from the session,” Martinez said.
The Spieses’ purchased the copyright release to the images from the photo shoot, leaving Thru the Lens unable to dictate what a customer does with the photos.
“If I knew at the time that she was planning on using that particular photo, I probably would have voiced my opinion that another one might have been better,” Martinez said.

Elizabeth Samuell, owner of Thru the Lens Fine Portraits, is the mother of Erin Edblom, a student editor of the yearbook staff who voted against including Spies’ submitted photos, Martinez confirmed.

RON HENSLEY might be Casey's BF and Look at Casey's PO!!!

According to social media outlet twitter certain followers are of the opinion that they have worked out who Casey's new boyfriend is.
His name is Rob Hensley, he is the cousin of Jose Baez, runs a landscaping company out of Kansas,   leaked Casey’s video two days before Christmas onto youtube before taking it down, has a felony record as well as being an alleged crack cocaine user.
Says twitter user under the handle Amelia Sobel:

Of course what makes this facebook screen grab interesting is that it shows a Rob Hensley facebook user posting a youtube posting of Casey Anthony’s video on the 23rd of December with the exclamation, ‘teaser,’ before yanking it off. That’s 13 days before it went public.
Possibly realizing that a civil law case against Casey ,forbids her to come forward with information pertaining to the death of Caylee without first addressing it in a court of law, Rob Hensley takes down the video and then tries to cover his tracks:

The twitter handle user AmeliaSobel then goes on to assert the following:

I looked to see if I could find him on Twitter and was unsuccessful. But......
Based in Kansas:

And then there’s this picture:
Then there’s this. Which showed up on Dec 20, 2011 that Casey sent to Rob Hensley.

Image source; http://forum.caseytrackers.com/ Is this Casey Anthony?

FYI, the picture that is crossed out is supposedly Lee Anthony's FB page, called YEE. Here's the link: https://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Yee/314584318572448

And then there’s too, a facebook communique that revels in Rob Hensley’s illegitimate activities:

We don't know if Rob Hensley is new boyfriend of Casey as has been alleged by the twitter handle user AmelieSobel ( FB page: https://www.facebook.com/#!/amelia.sobel ) who radaronline linked to in lieu of a second Casey Anthony tape surfacing. It’s been rumored that ABC have it in their possession and paid $50 000 for it. Talk about blood money….

That said what we do know is the following: someone by the name of Rob Hensley has publicly disclosed that they are friendly with Casey Anthony, loaded a youtube video of her onto facebook two weeks before the video becomes public as well as making inferences to naked pictures he was in possession of.

Whether Rob Hensley turns out to Casey Anthony’s boyfriend or not, there is one thing we can say,  our  collective interest in Casey has hardly waned. On the contrary it’s only escalated which might be what Casey  is hoping for if she is to ultimately get her power payday….blood money aside.  So who wants to know who Casey's PO is ..........look below!

Hysterical Parody of Casey video

Casey has a bf and blah..blah...blah...

According to a new report from RadarOnline, Casey isn't in hiding, and she has a new boyfriend.
Casey's pal revealed, "She is doing good... she is dating someone and does work for his company."
A man who has a mutual Facebook friend with Casey posted, "She isn't in hiding... she is out in public all the time. She attends church throughout the week too."
Casey's friend also said Anthony is now sporting red hair (despite her blonde hair in the video) and a nose ring.
Perhaps the public was not ready to see a video of Casey -- in which she makes no reference of two-year-old Caylee -- and many are outraged. Casey's parents expressed their concern and released a statement, saying they are worried the blog may "endanger their daughter."
"Lifechangers" host Dr. Drew Pinsky weighed in on the danger factor with the leaked video, saying, "Casey has major, major neurobiological problems, and she doesn't, even for an instance, understand how outraged the world is when she doesn't mention Caylee [in the video]."

Casey's video Diary

Below is the link for Casey Anthony's video Diary that she posted on Youtube. She seems a little tormented. And she's adopted a dog! Yup, poor dog! AND she mentions someone who she claims is more of a family member than anyone has ever been in her life. Um....Casey....do you remember Caylee?
The picture is the back is confirmed to be that of Cheney and his daughter.
Attorney Cheney Mason says that video was done as part of Casey's therapy and was released illegally and without her consent.
“Casey has maintained notes and memoirs for her personal counseling. She did not upload or release this to YouTube. She doesn't know how the video got on YouTube. She did not authorize it and therefore it had to be obtained illegally."

Morgan and Morgan, the law firm that is suing Anthony on behalf of Zenaida Gonzalez, is planning to reopen their push to force Anthony to talk without invoking her Fifth Amendment rights. The firm issued this statement:
This video is a preview of everything we predicted she would do in court. Speak when it's for profit. She has gamed the system. We will be renewing our motion to have her testify. Justice moves slowly sometimes but we remain vigilant. I guess her objection to filing her deposition with the court for safety concerns due to the disclosure of her appearance was a sham upon the court. I don't think this well respected and thoughtful judge will be happy or amused.
Mark Lippman, the attorney who represents George and Cindy Anthony, issued the following statement:
Cindy and George were made aware of the video diary of their daughter this morning, January 5th 2012. They are concerned that the release of this video or any future videos could endanger their daughter. Cindy and George hope that Casey remains safe wherever she may be.

The following images were taken in Ohio at an Olive Garden
It was taken Dec. 31. According to The Caylee Daily, people on probation are allowed to leave the state to visit family members.
